port in pattern?

Postby freddy » Tue Oct 10, 2017 7:42 pm

FoxyProxy 5.0?
Firefox 56.0

This pattern works: *127.0.0.1*

But the pattern I want does not work: *127.0.0.1:8888*
Such as differentiating between that and *127.0.0.1:8887*

Actual URL I'm attempting to hit is: https://127.0.0.1:8888 (which also doesn't work as the pattern)

In each case "Do not use this proxy for localhost" toggle is: OFF

Pattern type: Wildcard
Protocols: all

Thanks for such an extremely useful tool!

Hello,

Recommend you remove 5.0. It was removed from addons.mozilla.org. 5.1 will be released very shortly, perhaps in 1 week.

Hello,

There is finally a beta of the new FoxyProxy for Firefox 57 and above. Get it here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -standard/

Scroll to the bottom and click "Development Channel" then install Version 5.1beta02 from there. Conversion of your old settings to new settings is not working yet, but most everything else works (specifically, toolbar icon color change does NOT work due to a Firefox bug).

Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to go from the beta channel to the final version once it is released. You will have to check for the final release then uninstall the beta and re-install the final version. You will lose all of their settings in this case. You can of course skip the beta for now and just wait 2 weeks more for the final release.

As new betas are released, you will get updates. There may only be a couple more before final release is issued. You should check for the final release in November. It will certainly be ready by then.

Hi,

I can't seem to find the beta, are you sure it is uploaded to addons.mozilla.org?

I want to switch and test Firefox 57 for a while and FoxyProxy is the only remaing addon for me that is in legacy form.
Also, does the beta fix the DNS leak issue, iirc it was only fixable with APIs from Firefox 57?

Thanks

Hi

It's there now:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -standard/

We did not test the port issue yet. The port may be hidden from FoxyProxy due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1337001

Scroll to the bottom of https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -standard/ click "Development Channel" then install Version 6.0beta01 from there.
